MarltonPike.com covers new commercial projects such as new retail stores, restaurants and even larger road project. This can also be large government development projects or even large residential developments.
The area of coverage are the towns in the area of Route 70, Route 73 and The Haddons.
Don’t take the name “Marlton Pike” too literally regarding coverage area. It represents a broader area than the roadway. Whether Cherry Hill, Collingswood, or Mt Laurel… it’s all an interconnected commercial and roadway community. We’re all shopping in the same stores, eating in the same restaurants and driving the same roads. The stories MarltonPike.com covers makes much more sense to these towns.
The article coverage, in short it’s the projects around questions like those below:
- Hey, what’s going in over there?
- What are they building down at?
- Hey did you hear that XYZ is coming?
- What are they doing over on the highway?
The value the website adds to the process are:
- I find things out as early as possible, and share with readers.
- I’ll add extra value to the story, either a better explanation or other interesting details
- Sometimes I just want to share cool fun things that I think readers will be interested in.
MarltonPike.com History
It all started with 42Freeway.com. My first website in this genre started back in 2014 covering the towns along Route 42; Deptford, Gloucester Twp, Washington Twp and surrounding.
42Freeway has been very successful in those communities and i wanted to take the formula into other parts of South Jersey. I recognized the 42Freeway name really locked into a specific area and wouldn’t travel well in other areas as I expanded my coverage.
So on July 30, 2018 I registered MarltonPike.com.
It was 100% my intent to have different website for different smaller regions. In fact, in a Philadelphia Inquirer article about 42Freeway back in 2019, I mention MarltonPike.com! But for reasons related to my advertising network, I soon switched over to publishing all stories at 42Freeway.com. Yes even if it was Cherry Hill, Mt Laurel or Marlton.
It just never sat right with me trying to do it all at 42Freeeway.com. And I think it slowed growth on Facebook in those other communities.
In November 2022 I brought back MarltonPike.com as a stand-alone site.
